Medical nutrition is emerging as an important growth area for the business, with clear opportunities to accelerate development and expand into additional geographic markets. At the same time, parents of children who depend on specialized medical nutrition often face difficulties in ensuring appropriate nutritional intake, particularly outside the home.

That is why Nestlé is introducing Compleat Paediatric Oral Blends, the first great-tasting oral nutritional supplement for children in an on-the-go pouch.

Compleat Paediatric Oral Blends comes in two flavors, Banana Blueberry and Banana Mango. It is made with a unique blend of more than 50% fruits, as well as other nutritious ingredients such as pea and rice proteins, vitamins, and minerals, for a carefully balanced profile that is suitable as a sole source of nutrition.

“We heard from parents who wanted their children who require specialized medical nutrition to enjoy their food while also getting the nutrition they need to thrive. At the same time, they wanted options that didn’t look too clinical; they wanted packaging that was child-friendly,” said Martin Halbeis of Nestlé Health Science. “Our teams built on our decades of real-food medical nutrition expertise to develop Compleat Paediatric Oral Blends, a first of its kind product that meets the nutritional and lifestyle needs of families.”

Compleat Paediatric Oral Blends is launching in Belgium, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland in March and April 2026, with launches in more markets coming later in 2026.

In testing, parents and caregivers gave positive feedback on the new product. They reported that they felt supported and empowered by a product that meets both nutritional and emotional needs.

Nestlé recently announced that it is combining its Nutrition and Nestlé Health Science businesses to create a single, integrated global powerhouse. Medical nutrition has been identified as a strong growth platform for the business, with room for acceleration and geographical expansion. The Compleat Paediatric Oral Blends is a food for special medical purposes and must be used under medical supervision.
