Powered by the Borcycle™ M platform, the line stabilizes recyclate variability and ensures consistent, repeatable lots of polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE). The facility strengthens Borealis’ circularity strategy and builds on the expertise gained through the Rialti and Integra Plastics acquisitions, broadening the range of recycled PP/PE compounds for demanding uses in consumer goods, technical packaging, and industrial components.
The outcome is a reliable supply of high-performance recycled materials with controlled quality, ready for production qualification. Borealis announces that its new compounding line for recyclate-based polyolefins (rPO) is now fully operational in Beringen, Belgium. This milestone marks a significant step forward in helping customers meet their circularity and sustainability targets—without sacrificing performance and reliability.

The Beringen facility is not only designed to process a wide range of recyclate flakes, offering exceptional versatility to meet diverse customer needs, but it also serves as a platform for collaboration—enabling customers to co-develop and test new solutions that bring recycled plastics into high-value applications.
