Just arrived newly developed primary and secondary packaging solutions in addition to its proven, high-performance packaging machines. The Dresden-based company presents its BLM innovation: the first cartoner from Theegarten-Pactec, which can keep pace with the high speed of the primary packaging machines, as it can secondarily pack up to 2,000 individual products (120 cartons per minute).
Another highlight is the new CHS modular high-performance packaging machine for chocolate products. It now packs up to 1,800 products per minute instead of the previous 1,200 and can also be adapted even more flexibly and therefore more efficiently to longer, higher or wider products.
Primary and secondary packaging machines for food or non-food items

Theegarten-Pactec’s range offers tailor-made packaging machines for every type of product, regardless of whether it’s small pieces of confectionery, food or non-food items.
As an innovation driver, the Dresden-based company works on the continuous further development of its systems or develops entirely new solutions to meet special requirements.
This also applies to the completely new BLM development, the first cartoner from TheegartenPactec. The company – known for its primary packaging of small-sized products – has developed a secondary packaging machine that can keep pace for the first time with the high performance of their primary packaging machines. The new BLM now packs up to 2,000 individual products or 120 cartons per minute and is suitable for small to medium carton sizes.
The cartoner developed by Theegarten Pactec for high performance machine

Finding a suitable cartoner in this high-performance range has been almost impossible in the company’s experience so far. As a result of this limitation, customers were unable to operate their primary packaging machines at full capacity. Unwanted reductions in efficiency were the result. With the cartoner developed by Theegarten-Pactec, which is perfectly adapted to connection to the high-performance machines of the Dresden-based innovation driver, even small products can now be processed with a high output.
At the interpack fair, the company was supposed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the machine using spare cubes. The application at the stand would have presented the individual stages of production and live packaging – from powder feed (AZO company) to printing (Romaco Kilian company), which forms the famous tablets from the powder.
The tablets would then have been packaged by the primary BCW3 packaging machine in a side fold at a speed of 1,400 pieces per minute, before being secondarily packaged at the same speed by the BLM cartoning machine in cartons (60 pieces per carton).
CHS machine with new modular, high-performance packaging system

As a further highlight, Theegarten-Pactec would present a second innovation at interpack 2020. The high-performance CHS modular packaging machine was specially developed for the delicate packaging of chocolate products and can now reach a production of up to 1,800 instead of 1,200 products per minute .
At the stand, Theegarten-Pactec would show how chocolate pralines with a production of 1,600 products per minute are packaged in the “Protected Twist” folding mode (sealed double twist wrapping).
The CHS is especially flexible with regard to the possible folding types: nine different folding types such as double twist, protected twist, top twist, side twist, foil wrap, envelope fold, bottom fold, side fold and Viennese fruit fold are possible without any problems whatsoever.
Quick changes of folding type and format, suitable for different products

Additionally, the machine allows quick changes of folding type and format within only four hours. These can be carried out by only one employee. The operator is supported by a user guidance system integrated into the machine and a lighting concept that illuminates the relevant areas of the machine.
Thanks to its flexible design, the machine is particularly suitable for different products and folding types that are in seasonal demand. This way, CHS enables high capacity utilization throughout the year, even with increasingly shorter product life cycles, and guarantees a high level of investment security for buyers.
They can react quickly to new market requirements, such as changes in the dimensions of chocolate products, and retrofit them cost-effectively and flexibly for new formats or folding types.
With this in mind, Theegarten-Pactec extended the format range of the CHS. While previous product lengths were packed from 16 to 45 mm, the new system offers a spectrum covering 16 to 60 mm. The Dresden-based company has also adjusted the width – previously 12 to 25 mm, now 12 to 35 mm – and is therefore opening up even more application possibilities for its customers.
