The versatile gripper Schunk Co-act gripper EGH enables a particularly easy entry into the world of cobots. With a variably adjustable total stroke of 80 mm, the parallel gripper covers a particularly wide range of workpieces. For each gripping operation, the finger position can be individually defined and the gripper status evaluated via IO-Link.
Easy entry into the world of cobots with the versatile gripper Schunk
With its freely programmable stroke and rapid commissioning and programming, the flexible versatile gripper Schunk Co-act EGH enables easy entry into the world of cobots.
Parallel kinematics ensures constant gripping forces over the entire stroke while no Z compensation is required during programming – a distinct advantage compared to grippers with scissor kinematics.
The gripper status is indicated via an integrated LED strip light, enabling smooth interaction between human being and robot.
Starter package for quick and easy entry for Universal Robots cobots
The plug & work module is available as a fully pre-assembled starter package with suitable interface and URCaps plugin for Universal Robots cobots. Commissioning and programming are easy and intuitive and take just thirty minutes.
The flexible fingers and changing inserts mean different workpieces and geometries in particular can be gripped quickly. The Co-act gripper EGH is particularly suitable for use in cells with a protective fence or for applications where the human and robot workspaces do not directly overlap (coexistence).
Handling and pick and place tasks in clean or slightly dirty environments
With a variably adjustable total stroke of 80 mm, the Schunk Co-act gripper EGH can handle of a wide variety of parts flexibly.
Typical fields of application include handling and pick & place tasks in clean or slightly dirty environments, such as in the automotive and electrical industries as well as in machining plants.
The Co-act gripper EGH comes in size 80 as standard and, with a dead weight of approx. 1 kg, can handle force-fit parts up to 0.5 kg or up to 3 kg with a form fit. Schunk recommends the certified Co-act EGP-C small components gripper or the powerful Co-act EGL-C long-stroke gripper for collaboration types where humans and robots work directly together, such as sequential collaboration, cooperation or reactive collaboration.
