The visual system and the Cockpit to control the eQart for intralogistic and its applications

eQart navigates by using a camera-based visual system reading contrast with a colored line that is applied on the floor, no cutting or drilling on the floor is needed. The colored line can be created with tape or paint. The method is a cost-effective and flexible guide path technology, allowing guide path implementation and changes to be made in minutes or hours.
The eQart is controlled with a tablet application called “Cockpit” that allows the customer to easily control the eQart, create and modify routes. Some examples of applications that are ideal for the eQart are being able to have a custom size or top structure which is ideal for kitting operations or for odd shaped materials.
Specifically with the eQart for intralogistic there are several solutions, from the flat deck and pallet handling. The eQart also has the ability to tow material handling carts behind it very easily with a total towing capacity of 2,000 kg.
Another unique application that the eQart enables is that of creating a mother-daughter automation solution. This means that the eQart is able to carry small kitting carts or even the customers existing carts inside the eQart for delivery to the assembly line.
