The strength of MACA Engineering lies in its experience in tailor-made solutions for over 30 years, making it possible to realize complex closures through fast, reliable and fully automated machines. An ability recognized by the market to the point that often in the initial phase of a research or introduction of a new product in cap production, companies ask MACA an opinion on the feasibility of the proposed designs as well as to study and propose the solution that offers the best performance.
More than 80% key components and structural assemblies (including machine units, dies, etc.) are produced in-house and countermarked with an identification number so that customers will have no difficulty in ordering replacement parts.
Assembling and slitting/folding machines for plastic caps and closures for MACA Engineering in the AROL GROUP

Recently MACA Engineering joined AROL GROUP, which includes AROL Closure Systems, the global point of reference in the design, manufacture and distribution of capping machines & capping turrets, caps feeding systems, caps orienting systems and caps sorters, UNIMAC-GHERRI, the specialist in filling and capping of glass containers with twist-off caps for liquid, semiliquid and pasty products and TIRELLI, which develops and produce filling, capping and labelling systems mainly for the cosmetics and personal care industry.
One of MACA main production areas are the assembling lines and slitting/folding machines for plastic caps and closures: not only pre-threaded flat plastic caps, but also pre-threaded sport plastic caps, complex closures for alcoholic drinks or pre-threaded agrochemical cap production.
Customized lines for closure systems
One example, could be a line for cutting the tamper evident ring, folding the inner flap of plastic caps and inserting pre-cut liners:
- A first machine type ITVE-MRR with first flywheel dedicated to cutting the tamper evident ring and second flywheel (optional) for folding the inner flap; loading and discharging stars synchronized with the main flywheel and photocells; external slitting blade for quick replacement; possibility of processing caps having different diameters without having to replace the gears;
- A second machine type IRV for inserting pre-cut liners inside the cap. The machine can process either loose liners or it can be customised to work with liners pre-stacked in tube for specific products (such as agrochemical caps); exit conveyor belt with the possibility of installing a vacuum system to allow integrating a vision system; box diverter for loading 2 boxes.
Speaking about sport caps, in the MACA product range we can mention a continuous motion rotary assembling machine with 3 flywheels with 24 punches each for sport caps for assembling up to a maximum of 3 components with an output up to 36.000 pcs/hr.
