Plastic cups and trays used are turned into a resource for new plastic products
The whole process for the Circular Events is composed of the following steps: beverage and food plastic containers used during big assemblies, such as music concerts, shows, and sporting events are collected and transported to specialized recycling partners, then crushed and recycled, avoiding ending up in landfills or incinerated.
Afterwards, the material will be used in PACCOR’s manufacturing sites to produce new cups made of 100 % recycled material (rPET), closing the loop of those drinking cups. The implementation of such closed recycling loops also works for restaurants. Since June 2021, PACCOR is turning plastic cups and trays used by Cojean, a French quick service restaurant chain, for table service into a resource for new plastic products. The innovative solutions have been provided by Tri.O & Greenwhishes who supports companies in the management, recovery, and recycling of their waste only in France.
Circular Events will be presented with the innovative and sustainable offers at Fachpack 2021 in Nuremberg. ‘Leading the transition towards a circular economy’ is PACCOR’s motto at this year’s trade show.
