Rotzinger Transver: the integration of two Swiss excellence brands creates a new company within the Coesia ecosystem
In January 2026, Coesia signed an agreement with Rotzinger Group to acquire selected assets of Rotzinger AG in Kaiseraugst, and Transver AG in Altendorf—two Swiss companies that, over the years, have developed complementary expertise to make the product journey from processing to packaging more efficient and controlled. The transaction included personnel, technologies, intellectual property rights and trademarks.
Rotzinger AG was known for its product handling and accumulation solutions, designed to synchronise processing and packaging through high-capacity buffering and distribution systems engineered to handle products gently, stabilise the production process and increase equipment availability.
Transver AG, on the other hand, specialised in hygienic conveying systems for the food and confectionery industries, with a portfolio that included curved, angled and straight conveyors, distribution stations, infeed chains and solutions for sensitive applications such as bakery, where hygiene, efficiency and reliability are essential requirements.
Today, this expertise has been brought together within a single organisation—Rotzinger Transver—which provides the Coesia ecosystem with know-how, technologies and people, offering international customers increasingly efficient and coordinated production lines.
Product flow is the key: turnkey solutions from processing to packaging
The technological value of Rotzinger Transver lies in its ability to transform the connection between processing and packaging into an organised, stable and integrated system. In an industrial production line, it is not enough to transfer products from one stage to the next. They must be conveyed, accumulated, distributed and synchronised with precision. It is at this stage that a significant part of the overall efficiency of the production line is determined.
In the food and confectionery industries, but not only, this expertise plays a decisive role: products may be fragile, irregular, sensitive or difficult to handle at high speeds. Proper product flow control helps prevent bottlenecks, reduce downtime, minimize waste and maintain a consistent supply of products to the packaging machines, resulting in a more continuous and efficient production line with greater equipment availability.
Rotzinger Transver’s conveying, distribution and buffering systems make it possible to decouple the different stages of the production line when necessary and synchronise them when continuity is required. Product flow therefore becomes a strategic function rather than simply a material handling element. Complementing this approach is expertise in robotics, with pick-and-place solutions designed to integrate seamlessly with the conveying and distribution systems.
Rotzinger Transver also leverages the expertise available within the Coesia ecosystem and, whenever a project requires it, collaborates with specialised partners or suppliers selected by the customer to deliver consistent systems designed around the actual production requirements of the plant. This is complemented by a high level of customisation, with solutions tailored for delicate products, limited space, special packaging formats and complex production processes, adapting each line to specific manufacturing requirements, from processing to packaging.
A strategic step for the food and confectionery market
The acquisition of the assets of Rotzinger AG and Transver AG represents a strategic step in strengthening Coesia’s position in the food and confectionery market, particularly thanks to two key capabilities for modern food and confectionery production lines: product flow control and hygienic conveying.

With this transaction, Coesia has increased the number of companies specialising in high-end industrial and packaging solutions within its ecosystem to 21. Headquartered in Bologna and wholly owned by Isabella Seràgnoli, the Group operates in 34 countries through 82 production facilities, 126 operating units and more than 8,000 employees.
