The sectors with the filling applications

The South African company has a long experience in filling technology: 43 years started in 1979 and with the first rotary filler (in 1983) with the model 3000, still manufactured today with the new releases and with more options.
Filmatic focus on the dairy (fresh milk, drinking yogurt, cream), beverage (mineral water, fruit juice, wine), food (edible oil, mayonnaise, ketchup), industrial (motor oil, detergents), household chemicals (liquid soap, dishwashing / clothes) and personal care (shampoo, liquid soap) industries.
The Filmatic product range
The South African company has an important product range which includes processing, pasteurizers, retorts, blow moulding, bottle & tub unscramblers, semi-automatic fillers, indexing cup fillers, linear fillers, rotary level fillers (N1 to N6 Range), rotary piston fillers (N1 to N4 Range), rotary nett weigh fillers (N1 to N4 Range), CSD fillers, aseptic cup fillers, rotary bottle rinsers, inline bottle rinsers, rotary cappers (Stand-Alone), ESL filling machines, labelling / shrink sleeving, date coding, shrink wrappers / tray packers / palletizers and conveyoring systems / accumulation tables.
The after sales

The Filmatic’s after sales team is based in Paarl and additionally have 3 technicians based in Gauteng and one in KZN.
The after sales is based on operator & technical training, maintenance, rebuilds of machines, general customer support and breakdown support 24/7.
The machine placement and the Trepko partnership
From 1979 Filmatic installed more than 5,000 machines worldwide (North America, England, Middle East, Australia, Western & Eastern Europe) with 1,200 fillers in dairy application.
In 2015 started the partnership with Trepko, a Danish company with an international footprint in the dairy/butter sector, which opened more doors for Filmatic like solutions for butter brick filling machines, Form-Fill-Seal, Bag in a Box filling machines with professional engineering services. The partnership is specialized in liquid filling and
packaging equipment technology offering complementary, highly reputable agency equipment for turnkey solutions.
The Filmatic Nett-weight rotary filler

Arguably the most accurate filling solution available. This is also the most technologically advanced filling solution. This system is often selected where high value product is filled. Filmatic recently developed a weight filling system that compares favourably with the production rate of gravity filling solutions. The newly developed system makes use of a pressurised supply system and a continually variable flow rate filling valve to achieve high production capacity with low foam generation.
The rinsing- (optional), filling- and sealing sections are integrated into a modular design, giving the client the flexibility to decide on the configuration of the machine, based on their requirements. By utilizing starwheels for transfer of the bottle between the sections, Filmatic thus eliminate additional drive components. Utilizing the same star wheel system, it also enables them to run more than one bottle size on the machine, effectively eliminating long changeover times due to the simplicity of the design. With the filler as the heart of the line, the client can have a standard configuration which is a filler and capper, or we can add a rotary rinser and cap rinsing with a HEPA System which effectively enables ESL Filling.

With the new designed filling valve, the nett weigh fillers enable clients to achieve a very precise filling weight, with 2g accuracy, making it more cost effective by minimizing product waste. The Filmatic’s continuous variable flow control valve promotes non-contact, non-drip filling, creating a hygienic filling environment while also minimizing the foaming characteristics that some products tend to have, making it easier to accurately fill at a high speed. The machine has a highly effective closed loop automated CIP system, cleaning the machine under pressure making sure that all product contact components are thoroughly cleaned.
The sealing section, where the cap application is performed, are fitted with Filmatic’s newly designed and patented calibrated magnetic clutches that enables the client to adjust torque and top pressure settings without the use of any special tools. Torque settings between different closures can thus be done within minutes, saving on downtime and changeovers.
Hygiene Capabilities
- GRAVITY LEVEL FILLERS – LOG 2-3: Filmatic traditional fillers – the filling valve is in contact with container – can transfer germs – therefore we offer two sets of filling valves and sterilizing unit;
- NETT WEIGH FILLERS: Filmatic nett weight filler with check weigh function – NON-CONTACT FILLING – LOG 4.
