The healthy lifestyle and the rituals focused to personal care and hygiene behaviors
And consumer choices have increasingly focused on the personal and health care sectors. The pandemic, however, has only accelerated a trend already underway, with the measures taken to counter the spread of infections and the adoption of personal protective equipment.
Many behaviors, which have been adopted in exceptional circumstances, have consolidate and have become real life habits. The growing importance of a healthy lifestyle, the attention to personal care and hygiene, as well as the key role that sustainability has played in consumer spending decisions are the current leading trends.
In fact, the epidemic of Covid-19 has turned the spotlight on the value of the caring economy, whose prospects today are in strong rise: it is very likely that certain “rituals” such as sanitizing one’s hands and using specific products for disinfecting one’s own person and objects with which we come into contact, will remain so even when the emergency is over.
The latest generation of robotic packaging applications to design and produce end-of-line systems
Numbers speak for themselves: the “Medical Disinfectant Wipes” global market has been valued at 364.96 million dollars in 2020 and is estimated to grow with a Cagr (Compound annual growth rate or average annual growth rate) of 23.59% by 2027.
FuturaPack, being attentive, as always, to the phenomena influencing market’s trend and most of all, to final Customer satisfaction, has proceeded, with R&D, besides food & beverage, baby food and pet food, in one of the historical branches of its business, namely the design and production of end-of-line systems with the help of the latest generation of robotic applications for pharma-cosmetic sector.
The company is part of GAMPACK Group, Italian leader in secondary packaging and end-of-line, based in Piacenza, in the heart of the Emilian packaging valley. The key word of FuturaPack is “flexibility” accompanied by the creativity by which the staff knows how to deal with complex problems, in an open challenge with the potential of technological resources.
Thanks to an in-house engineering office and an R&D department that allows to propose state-of-the-art systems, it has invested strongly in digital transformation, managing processes always in evolution and putting its experience at industry’s service for the supply of sophisticated systems, ranging from robotic packaging lines to the end of the cycle on the pallet. The brand is, today, appreciated in Italy and worldwide for its unique and innovative applications.
The complete line with a robotic system allowing to pack up to 19 different flowpack formats
The route for FuturaPack is driven by the will to create a reliable and long-lasting partnership with the Customer. In this direction, FuturaPack has renewed the collaboration with a leading French group in the production of wet wipes for home cleaning, personal care and delicate baby wipes, which aims to use environmentally friendly raw materials.
The French Customer, who has successfully installed already 4 complete lines for cardboard packaging and palletizing commissioned over the years, has once again confirmed his trust to the company placing an order for this new line.
The new line, recently delivered, consists of a robotic packaging system allowing to pack up to 19 different flowpack formats, with or without the protection cap, with a 5-minute format change. All format size adjustments are fully automated, with a clear benefit for the operator: the products are processed at the rate of 110 pieces/minute and are inserted on the edge inside the packaging, by means of an innovative electronic vertical stacking system with 6-axis robot that can fill the box at the required speeds, exploiting the rotation capacity of the gripping device of which it is equipped.
We are talking about of a maxi production, which proceeds at a rate of 18 cartons/minute. The carton is opened, filled in with the product and closed, weighed and labelled by the same machine. In addition to the cycle, and in less than 13 meters in length, the plant is equipped with palletizers with pallet wrapper to protect and stabilize the items packed on the pallet and prepare them for consequent storage in the warehouse. From here the wipes take their way, as valuable allies in the daily fight against viruses and bacteria.
