Cama Group Asian Hub in China: R&D and manufacturing for Asian continent

2020 has seen another flag being raised by the Cama Group! The opening of Cama Asia’s new R&D and Manufacturing Center, in Shanghai, China, marks a significant milestone for the global Italian company, with enhanced operational capabilities in what is the world’s fastest growing economy.

Cama has been present in the Chinese market since 2013, with a sales and after-sales service office, but, as a result of the increasing demand for secondary packaging automation technology in the region, the company decided that major investment and enhanced commitment was required.

“The Shanghai Hub is Cama’s third global manufacturing center. Since 1981 – the date of its foundation – Cama has never stopped developing and fine tuning its high technology solutions and strengthening the support it delivers to all markets around the world. Something that has been reflected by our growing market share,” explains Daniele Bellante, CEO Cama Group.

“Shanghai is the economic center of China and offers a strong international background,” Bellante continues. “The region offers an excellent supplier base, robust supply chains, convenient transportation and a high level of well-qualified people, making it the perfect base of operations for our new R&D manufacturing center.”

CCM: Cama China Manufacturing, machines for the Asian market
“The goal of our new Chinese operation is to develop a new range of machines specifically designed and adapted to the precise needs of the Asian market.
This new machine series will be called CCM – Cama China Manufacturing,” explains Ke Da, General Manager of Cama Asia.

The Cama Group’s packaging department offers more than 30 years of experience in the design and testing of packaging paperboard and cardboard, in order to achieve the highest efficiency when working with automatic machines.
The italian company studies the best possible packaging solution in relation to the product characteristics, packaging materials and the end user’s requirements, including both sustainability and reducing material costs designing innovative solutions to offer a complete packaging service.

The packaging consulting is always at disposal: the Cama Group’s packaging department, based on its specific technical know-how, carries out a sequence of checks at various levels on the cardboard and/or corrugated carton technical features.

International presence for secondary packaging started from Italy, now in China for Asian customers
