Hida Alimentación: innovation, tradition, passion and quality for homemade meals

Since Mateo Hidalgo founded Hida Alimentación in 1954, the spanish company worked with the same philosophy of innovation, tradition, passion and quality. From the start, they have worked to align their know-how to their consumer demands in the industrial production of homemade meals, with the aim of bringing out the flavor of the best tomato-based simmered sauce from the Spanish garden. Today, Hida is a leader in flavor, tomato culture, and passionate about doing things well. At Hida Alimentación the Fulgencio Hidalgo Lajarín’s current role is Operations Director. Within his duties, he is the person in charge of coordinating and implementing effective processes and standards to satisfy their customers’ needs.
What were their need for the glass jar production line
Due to the launch of new products packed in glass jars into market, Hida Alimentación had the need of increasing the production capacity and efficiency of their glass jar line. With the aim of achieving that goal, they reached out UNIMAC-GHERRI due to their unquestionable experience in in-line capping machines and handling systems such as palletisers and depalletisers.
How Unimac-Gherri machines answered to their need

Since the beginning, Hida had a very tight collaboration with AROL Group and UNIMAC- GHERRI to define their specific needs. Following their advice, they decided to buy a depalletiser UNI550 (33.000 bph), a capping machine GG400 (36.000 bph) and a palletizer UNI600DI (33.000 bph).
It must be said that Hida Alimentación already had one of their cappers and their technical department has helped the Spanish company several times to increase productivity in the front line.
How do they evaluate the new machines
It is important to point out that those machines were installed only two months ago. They have been running well since the set up. Hida Alimentación is confident that, due to the simplicity in their design, their maintenance expenses related to these machines will drop dramatically.
The importance of the after sales services

After-sales services professionals have given to Hida Alimentación a quick response when required. When they have had the need to receive assistance both remotely and in person, they have backed them up completely.

The aim for everyone involved was to collaborate as a single team and they have succeeded in their work together by completing the installation of the different machines according to their scheduled plans.
